Matt Groening designed advertising for Apple in 1989

Just as a curiosity despite the fact that some of you might know it already. Seems to be noteworthy to talk about this work who joined 22 years ago two symbols of todays world, on the one hand the technology Apple, at that time called Apple Computer, and the gold side to Matt Groening, Yes, the same artist that performs the cartoon The Simpsons or Futurama series.

It is really strange to how unwittingly the paths of the Simpsons and Apple are intertwined. A few months ago I spoke of the strange relationship between Steve Jobs and Homer (Homer in some other countries) and now come us up with this guide which inexplicably returns to the artist of this exceptional series as the author of the Apple advertising.

As you can see in the Gallery, placed in chronological order, advertising was offered as a brief guide to the students that were launched in his University time at the United States. Covering different types of students, or different stages of his student time, Apple proposed solutions to a Macintosh could contribute to this specific case, noting the possibility of making good presentations or have organized the work.

But let us not talk more, we leave you with this wonderful work of Groening so that you enjoy them. Seems it to me or all these designs have some similarity with the drawings of the first seasons of the Simpsons.?

An ELT Glossary EAP English for Academic Purposes

EAP (English for Academic purposes) is a branch of ESP, and describes courses which aim to prepare learners to study or work within (usually) the context of higher education. Typical EAP learners might be students applying for or about to start an undergraduate or postgraduate course at an English medium university. They would need to improve their ability to understand lectures, read academic texts, participate in seminars, write academic essays etc, and probably also to gain certification such as IELTS to show that their competence in academic English is at the required level to enable them to complete the course successfully.

Many institutions run IELTS preparation courses, and universities often offer their own pre-sessional EAP courses to meet the needs of these students, who form a large potential market.
